for life!

At
Sunday Club we believe every child is a special
creation of God. Each week the children learn about
the teachings of Jesus and read the Bible in a fun,
relaxed environment. We use stories, acting, arts
and craft, music and games to demonstrate the Bible's
messages and meanings.
|
|
|
We
also share with the children moral values like loving
your neighbour, to be kind and fair, and to work for a
better world; to help them to elicit the best from themselves
and develop caring relationships and social responsibility.
Ultimately we want our children to become responsible
adults firmly grounded in the Christian faith and at Sunday
Club we try to help their parents achieve this goal.
Parents
are more than welcome to come in and join the children
in the Church Room or stay for the morning service. If
you prefer, you can drop your children off and pick them
up after the end of the service. Afterwards there are
refreshments and chat when you can meet with other parents
and children.

A
set of wooden tables and chairs designed for smaller children
was donated to the church in 2011.

On
the first Sunday of each month we have a Family Service
at 10a.m. which the children attend. This helps them to be more
involved with the adults of church family and helps them become
more confident and used to the discipline and order of church
services. Often they will take an active part in the service
which may for example involve groups or individuals doing the
Bible reading, helping with the prayers, taking the collection
or acting out a story in words or singing a song.
This
oak children's friendship bread bowl was given by the congregation
with grateful thanks for the care & dedication shown
by both the Rev'd Tony Pugsley and the Rev'd Heather Connell
during the interegnum
May 2009 to November 2010.
Friendship bread was introduced
by the Rev'd Tony Pugsley with the blessing of the PCC and
is given during Communion
to those children who have not yet been confirmed.
