NEWS

Mrs Brenda Lord retired as our Tower Captain after an incredible 31 years of service. Brenda was presented with a gift by Revd Miles - a silver necklass in the form of a bell - after the main Sunday service on 8th January , after a short presenation speach by Church Warden, Mrs Sonia Grantham.

............

During her 31 years as Captain, as well has training a number of new ringers, Mrs Lord, helped to oversee the raising of the funds to have a new Tenor Bell cast to replace the original cracked one and all the bells rehung. After two years hard work, following extensive repair work in the Tower, the bells were rehung in 2004.

(See our Bells page for more details about this and bell ringing in general).
